Suneel Kumar completed his Ph.D. from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India and currently pursuing a postdoctoral research at Rutgers University. During his Ph.D. study, he tested the beneficial role of bone marrow stromal cells transplantation and non-invasive electromagnetic stimulation after complete spinal cord injury (SCI) in rats. His postdoctoral studies involved encapsulating human mesenchymal stem cells and intrathecal injection after SCI in rats. His current research is focused on developing an animal model of pressure ulcers and a stable form of peptides/proteins for skin pressure ulcers healing after SCI. He has served as a member of editorial board and reviewer for many leading journals.
