Dr. Daniela Sanges received her Biotechnology Master Degree in 2004 and Medical Genetics Ph.D in 2008 from SUN University in Naples, Italy. She is currently an Associate Researcher at Center of Genomic Regulation (CRG) in Barcelona, Spain. Her scientific interests focused on development of new therapeutic strategies to treat retinal regeneration. In particular, she is fascinating from the study of potential molecular mechanisms that could lead to the regeneration of neuronal cells through the activation of endogenous reprogramming processes. Current interests include the understanding of the molecular basis of reprogramming and of stem cell plasticity.
