His Master of Science was in Clinical Nursing, specialized in oxygen therapy in children and his PhD was in Pediatric Nursing specialized in the Quality of Life in children with asthma. His is now attending a second Master of Science on Health Management. He is working since 2007 in the Pediatric Cardiosurgical ICU of “Onassis” Cardiac Center and he is clinical educator in several hospitals. He was Lecturer (407/80) in Pediatric Nursing in the University of Athens for two years (2010-2012), with more than 15 years of experience in clinical practice as a pediatric nurse and researcher/scientific collaborator. He has been a clinical educator in the Faculty of Nursing of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens since 2002. He is now serving as an
invited Lecturer in the Faculty of Nursing of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Medical School of Athens and the Department of Nursing of the Technological Educational Institute of
Athens, in both basic and postgraduate level. He is the elected Vice President (former President) of the Pediatric Sector of the Hellenic Nurses's Association and former Deputy Coordinator of the Pediatric Nursing Associations of Europe (PNAE). He is elected as a Member of Hellenic Nurses Association. He has several publications in international and Greek medical journals and textbooks, oral and poster
presentations in international and Greek congresses. He lectures as invited speaker in nursing congresses and other scientific events. He has participated in several organizing committees either as member or as president in scientific events, congresses, workshops, courses, etc. He is a certified expert in Adults and Adolescents Communication and Education and he is an ALS instructor certified by ERC.
Research Interest
Paediatric Intensive Care, emergency paediatric care, paediatric mass disaster, paediatric and adult resuscitation. Research in asthma control, paediatric cancer, non-invasive mechanical ventilation, congenital heart disease, nursing ethics, general pediatric nursing care, quantitative and qualitative nursing research, intensive and emergency nursing.
