Biography:
Laura Paulina Osuna Carrasco born and raised in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, México. At 18 started my career studies in Chemical Engineering and the switch to Biomedical Engineering in the University of Guadalajara. At the end of my bachelor’s degree started to work in a German company of biomedical devices (Dräger Medical) for almost two years and for half a year in laparoscopic instrumentation surgical assistant. In the year 2011, I joined the Doctorate Program of Biomedical Sciences (Neuroscience orientation) in the University of Guadalajara. I discover then my passion for neuroscience, and specifically physiology of the spinal cord. I obtained my PhD degree in 2015 and begun my postdoctoral position in 2016 in México city in CINVESTAV-IPN in a research Lab of Electrophysiological studies in the spinal cord, where I am currently working.

Spinal Cord Injury; Pain modulation; Spinal Cord motor and sensory circuits (CPG´s); Locomotion and Kinematics.
