Biography:
Ying-Yong Zhao is Professor, Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, The School of Life Sciences, Northwest University in China. Zhao has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and three books. He received several awards including National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Nomination Award and New Century Excellent Talents in University from Ministry of Education of China, The Pharmaceutical Society of China Award for Young Scientists in 2012 (Sanofi Young biological drugs Award), The Pharmacological Society of China Award for Young Scientists in 2011 (Fifteenth SERVIER Youth Pharmacology Award) and The Ninth Youth S&T Awards of Shaanxi in 2012. He serves as editor for 4 international journals and editorial board member for 13 international journals including Journal of Nephrology & Therapeutics, International Journal of Nephrology and Kidney Failure, Journal of Nephrology and Urology Research, Archives of Renal Diseases and Management, etc. He also is studying the oxidative stress, inflammation, and pro-fibrotic pathways of chronic kidney disease and tubulo-interstitial diseases, molecular biology of kidney gene expression.

Pharmacology, metabolomics and lipidomics in chronic kidney diseas; Therapeutic effect of natural products on chronic kidney disease; Oxidative stress; Inflammation and Pro-fibrotic pathways of chronic kidney disease and tubulo-interstitial diseases.
