I graduated from medical school from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. After finishing one year of research training at Indiana University with the cardiology department, I started my pediatric residency and then completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. During these years I have contributed to several research projects that were presented in international and national meetings like the American Heart Association (AHA) scientific meetings, American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) national conferences, the Pediatrics Academic Societies (PAS) meeting, the Pediatric and Adult Interventional Cardiac (PICS) symposium, and the Congenital and Structural Interventions (CSI) meeting. The projects were ultimately published in peer-review journals.
After one year of extra training in congenital interventional cardiology at the University of Texas Southwestern, I joined Sanford Health where I had the opportunity to start, and be the director of, the pediatric cardiac catheterization program.
I am American Board certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology and recently in Adult Congenital Heart Disease. I am also a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member in the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
Research Interest: Congenital heart disease; acquired heart disease in the young; interventional congenital cardiology; structural heart disease; adult congenital heart diseasecardiac catheterization laboratory management and safety congestive heart failure in the young and pulmonary hypertension.
