I am a well trained toxicologist with great passion for research. Since 2006, I have been involved in several projects pertaining to systemic toxicology, inflammation, life style disorders, and neurobiology. Currently as a post-doctoral fellow I am actively pursuing the role of protein radical-derived mechanisms in neuroinflammatory diseases. In addition, I am actively engaged in several collaborative projects on hepatotoxicity, and drug toxicity in cancer biology. My overall career goal is to establish and lead a research laboratory dedicated to the in-depth investigation of protein radical-derived mechanisms in life style disorders and neuroinflammatory diseases. I intend to make broad use of chemical, cellular and animal models and provide my staff and students with all necessary opportunities to (i) develop high quality research programs in toxicology and (ii) learn to become independent scientists/academicians. In summary, I strongly believe that I have demonstrated record of successful and productive research projects in an area of high relevance.

Research Interest:

Toxicology (Neurotoxicity, Hepatotoxicity, Drug toxicity in cancer/life style disorders), Protein biochemistry (especially radical trapping and understanding the key roles of protein radicals in neuropathology), Free radical metabolism, and gene-environment interactions.
