Professor Milica Prostran, MD, PhD graduated from the School of Medicine, University of Belgrade. She obtained a Master of Sciences degree (cardiology), as well as a PhD in Pharmacology and a Specialization in Clinical Pharmacology. At present, she is the president of the Pharmaceutical Medicine Section of the Serbian Medical Association and member of several important govermental bodies (i.e. the Advisory Board of the National Drug Agency - ALIMS etc.). She is a Professor with tenure of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Clinical Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade. Also, Professor Prostran is the Head of of Postgraduate courses in Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Medicine. She published over 200 in extenso papers in a peer review journals indexed in CC, SCI (over 180) and MEDLINE bases, chapters in more than 30 books. She was Editor-in chief of many books and serves as a member (and referee) of the Editorial boards of several highly respectful international journals, as well as several national scientific and professional journals. Professor Prostran is the Chairwoman of the Govermental Committee for Psychoactive Controlled Substances since the end of 2011.
