Giuseppe Perrone born in 27 November 1975 and he is currently Associate Professor of Pathology at the Campus Bio Medico University of Rome, Italy. He earned his Medical Doctor Degree in 2001 and the Anatomical Pathology Specialist Degree in 2006 at Campus Bio Medico University of Rome. He earned his PhD in Hepathology from the Sapienza University of Rome, in 2009, working with Prof. Eugenio Gaudio. In his thesis work he characterized adenocarcinoma of Vater ampulla for determining different histotypes with different biological behavior. After completing his PhD, Perrone accepted a position as PostDoc researcher at Harvard University in 2009, Boston at Signoretti Laboratories (Pathology Dept. Brigham and Women Hospital) where he worked for 1 year.  During that time, he developed a project on cancer stem cell and evaluation of new in situ tumoral biomarkers. In 2010, Perrone accepted an Assistant Professor position at Campus Bio Medico University of Rome focusing his research interest on pathological features of pancreatic cancer. In 2015, Perrone accepted an Associate Professor position at Campus Bio Medico University of Rome. Perrone has continued his work on tissue tumoral biomarkers developing molecular diagnostic Laboratories of Pathology Dept. of Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital. He is Principal investigator of two funded projects: Clinical  trial PAM50 PROSIGNA- Principal Investigator: Perrone; Funded by Banca d’Italia Concordance value between PAM50 and immunohistochemical evaluation of KI-67 - Principal Investigator: Perrone; Funded by TCI Telecomunicazioni
