D.V. Shcheglov is the author of more than 150 published scientific works. Constantly serves on various national and international conferences, conventions and congresses.
His scientific activities linked to the development of endovascular neuroradiology in Ukraine. D. Scheglov was the first in Ukraine, who used stents and coils for cerebral aneurysm occlusion (2002) and first, who included liquid assets (including ONYX et al.) in treatment process of other cerebral vascular pathology (AVM). He promoted to attract world leaders - manufacturers of endovascular modern equipment in the domestic market; developed domestic tools and endovascular techniques for cerebral neurovascular diseases treatment.
He participated in the creation of certified training base for international training in the field of endovascular neurosurgery and neuroradiology. Since 2009 D. Scheglov is a certified expert in the interventional neuroradiology and Procter for «Boston Scientific USA (Stryker)». He also helped to create the Ukrainian school of endovascular neuroradiology and conducts training for specialists in endovascular neuroradiology from Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan and other countries.
Personal experience is more than 3000 operated patients with arterial aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations of the brain and spinal cord, carotid-cavernous fistulas, stenotic lesions of the head and neck arteries. Since 2011 D. Scheglov is the head of the AllUkrainian Public Organization "Ukrainian Association of Endovascular Neuroradiology", and from 2012 – is the chief editor of the Ukrainian scientific-practical journal "Endovascular neuroradiology." D.V. Shcheglov is a full member of European Society of Minimally Invasive Neurological Therapy (ESMINT) and a full member of the Mid-Eastern European Neurointerventional Club (MENC). He is married and has three children. D.V. Shcheglov is the author of more than 150 published scientific works.
